Matt. 6:33-34
We all have worries. Maybe it's a financial worry, a job worry, a relationship, etc. Worry never does us any good. However, it is hard for us to not worry when face to face with a problem or issue. Some will say "I worry because I care." There is nothing wrong about caring. However, our faith is weakened when we worry. It is a hard thing to overcome. I still struggle to beat it back.
Satan likes it when we worry. He likes it when we try to fix things and leave God out of it. He likes it when we worry so much it leads to other issues in our lives. This verse shows us how we must first seek the kingdom of God. It seems so easy to seek God and his wisdom before trying to put our hands on something. I continue to strive for this kind of faith. To hit my knees and seek Him first and not to worry.
We found security and peace when God sent his son. No more need to worry. When we seek God first, we have done the best thing possible.
