John 4:20-24
Seems like a simple word. However, I feel I forget sometimes the real reason for church or even everyday life. I always look forward to the message, the music, and seeing framily, and those things are not bad things to look forward to. However, we go to church to worship God. We should be going to church to offer God something, not receive.
Read Acts 4:20. Do you worship when you go to church? Is that what's on your mind? Do you prepare your heart for worship? When you are getting dressed, or when you are in your car on your way to church, is your heart eager to worship God? Have you ever asked yourself these questions? I know this is something I need to work on in my life. Authentic worship to God. I need to focus on my worship to God, not just what I can get out of it, but how He can be glorifed and praised. That is what worship is supposed to be.
